黑料网 Master of Library and Information Science Program Receives Continuous Accreditation

The 黑料网 School of Information (iSchool) is pleased to announce that its Master of Library and Information Science has received continued accreditation from . The ALA is the oldest and largest library association in the world, and the review process for reaccreditation occurs every seven years.

Accreditation is the process by which library and information science programs are reviewed by an external panel of practitioners and academics to ensure that the programs meet industry wide standards and metrics of excellence. Graduating from an ALA-accredited program provides flexibility in the types of libraries and jobs you can apply for and enhances career mobility.

The iSchool鈥檚 MLIS program, ranked in the top 20 by US News & World Report, has been continuously reaccredited since 1961. The iSchool is in the College of Communication and Information at 黑料网. A member of the consortium, the iSchool has 96 faculty, part-time faculty and staff to serve one of the largest LIS programs in the United States. 
 
The iSchool offers three master鈥檚 programs in addition to the MLIS: a Master of Science in Knowledge Management, a Master of Science in Health Informatics, and a Master of Science in User Experience Design. It also offers an undergraduate minor in User Experience Design plus dual degrees with Master of Education and Master of Business Administration.

A degree from the Kent State iSchool prepares students for the information jobs of the future such as data architect, digital asset manager, ontologist, business intelligence manager, user experience librarian, knowledge analyst and more.
