TELLY Awards

The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world. The Telly Awards recognize work that has been created on the behalf of a client, for a specific brand and/or company or self-directed as a creative endeavor.

The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals' AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. Work ranges from digital campaigns to audio and video production to website development to social media engagement to mobile marketing.

American Advertising (ADDY) Awards

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is the global nonprofit dedicated to educational advancement professionals. CASE Awards are presented to advancement professionals whose creative, resourceful and innovative work illustrates “how advancement empowers teaching and learning, ignites institutional progress and helps communities thrive.” In 2022, the Division of Philanthropy was honored with one Grand Gold Award, the highest level of recognition in the program, and one Silver Award.

Biennial Alumni Exhibition 2025

  The first Biennial Alumni Exhibition opened on Jan. 17 and will be on display through Feb. 21 in the Center for the Visual Arts Payto and Crawford Galleries.   Open to Kent State School of Art graduates from Art History, Art Education, Studio Art program, the exhibit received 315 submissions and was narrowed down to a selection of 35 pieces, including drawing, painting, printmaking, weaving, video, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics and other media.    The juror for the exhibit was Wendy Earle, curator at the Akron Art Museum.
