Megan Brattley, an Honors College senior graduating this spring 2025, was recruited by ºÚÁÏÍø as a softball player from the small town of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. For two years, she played her heart out on Kent State’s softball team as both a catcher and utility player, taking a break this year to focus on her academic goals, with sights set on a career in oncology. A current pre-medicine biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences, Megan plans to focus on chemistry when she attends graduate school, using this concentration as a platform to set her apar...

It’s not every day that someone gets to celebrate the 100th birthday of their hero, but for ºÚÁÏÍø graduate student Mason St. Clair, it happened.On Oct. 1, he was in Plains, Georgia, attending the 100th birthday bash of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, and shared details of his experience with Kent State Today. Carter, a Democrat who served one term from 1977-1981, is the only American president to live to age 100.  St. Clair graduated from Kent State in May with a bachelor’s degree in integrated social studies in the College of Education, Health and Human Services....
