The campus climate at ºÚÁÏÍø shapes the lives for all of us. The results from this survey, taken last fall, will allow us to better understand our learning, living and working environments. We know that thriving campus climates contribute directly to overall success for students, staff and faculty. Hear the results and next steps at the Engagement and Well-Being survey results presentation on Wednesday, April 9 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony.

  • The Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) is the university’s most prestigious honor in teaching, recognizing Kent State’s most extraordinary professors since 1967. It is presented annually to three full-time faculty members, and recipients of the award are unforgettable teachers who challenge their students and motivate them to achieve their greatest ambitions. Honor the professors who went above and beyond in the classroom or online this year by nominating them for a DTA by May 31.

  • The Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Services Center (SRWC) has stood as a beacon of support for students, faculty, staff and the Kent community for more than 25 years. For $150, you can commemorate your time at Kent State or honor friends, relatives or colleagues with a personalized brick. These bricks will be displayed on the walkway of the SRWC building.  

  • Grill ’72 is temporarily closed as it finalizes a relocation into the legendary Rathskeller. The Grand Re-Opening of Grill ’72 at the Rathskeller is taking place on Monday, March 31, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Stop by to enjoy new savory menu items, such as wings and fried pickle chips.   • Join us Saturday, April 12, for our annual spring race at Kent State! Named after KSU’s unofficial mascot, this event is open to all participants, whether you’re running, walking or rolling. The traditional 5K race follows a loop course that starts and finishes near the entrance of the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The scenic course takes you through Kent Campus along the Esplanade, featuring a few small hills and the occasional sighting of our famous black squirrels.   • Online final grading for Spring 2025 - POT F2 (Second 5 weeks) begins on Thursday, March 27 via FlashFAST. Grading is also now available for any Spring 2025 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. Any final grades for Spring 2025 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These Spring 2025 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, April 3.
