• Students will move-in to their assigned residence halls on Monday, August 12.
• The program runs through Thursday, August 15

• K/T mentors are upper-level undergraduate students who have experience with successfully navigating college. They are trained to be a resource to our first-year students and connect students to resources such as involvement opportunities, programs, and services.
• Each first-year student will also have access to a faculty or staff member which we call a K/T advocate. This person will work with the mentor and first-year student to make sure they are aware of helpful information and resources.
• First-year students should participate because this program has demonstrated to help students successfully navigate their first year of college.
• This program guarantees students has at least 1 person to connect with your first year of college.
• Students are expected to meet with their mentor at least twice a semester.

• Admissions sent a personalized link to your kent.edu email and the email you used to apply when being admitted to ºÚÁÏÍø.
• If you have not received a link, email us at smc@kent.edu.

• You will receive a confirmation email immediately after completing the application.
• We will send further information about mentor selection to your kent.edu email so please continue to check it.

• Move in will be from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in your respective residence hall on Monday, August 12.
  • If you cannot move-in on August 12, please email the SMC at smc@kent.edu 
• Your key to your dorm room will be your FlashCard, given to you during your DKS experience.
• If you do not have a FlashCard, please go to the FlashCard Office, located in the lower level of the Kent Student Center to get one.

• Check-in for the event will be in the KSC Ballroom (located in the Student Center) from 2 - 3 p.m.

• Student’s meal plans will begin upon move in.
• There will be breaks throughout the day where students can eat at the dining halls and off-campus food options.

Email the E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center at smc@kent.edu as soon as possible, to remove you from the roster so that students in the waitlist can be admitted to the program.
