Flash met a younger-than-teenage mutant ninja turtle, Olivia Hiser, 4 and her brother "Ghostface" Jacob Hiser, 7. Jacob attended Kent State's Child Development Center (CDC) and Olivia currently attends the center. Their family lives in Kent and their mother, Gina Giles Hiser (husband Andy), is a Kent native and has worked in Kent State's Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement.

"Colonel Sanders" is Beckett Miller, 9. His mother is April Feorene Miller and her husband Jake Miller, M.A. '11, is a Kent State alumnus.
Costumed trick-or-treaters visited participating downtown businesses and local organizations to receive tasty treats.
