The Division of People, Culture and Belonging systematically gathers data for interpretation and analytic reporting; oversees correlated research and process implementation for the university; conducts annual assessments and research reports that align with campus and divisional mission, goals, and objectives; and develops objectives and return on investment outcomes. Institutional Research
Institutional Research at ºÚÁÏÍø is the central office for information and planning resources. IR analyzes data and utilizes strategic planning and process improvement methods to enhance the performance and effectiveness of all levels of the University.
ºÚÁÏÍø Climate and Engagement Studies
Understanding the varied experiences of our community is a critical part of continuing to improve how we work toward creating a more inclusive and equitable campus environment. Assessing the climate and well-being will allow us to better understand the experiences of our community. We know from the research that thriving campus climates contribute directly to overall success for students, staff, and faculty. The results will assist us in better understanding our learning, living, & working environments (what we are doing well and where there are challenges).

The Diversity Scorecard is a tool and process ºÚÁÏÍø has employed to examine data and identify gaps in achievement for African American, Native American, and Latino subpopulations — groups that have been historically underrepresented in higher education and marginalized in United States history.

Equity Action Plan
In fall of 2012, the formerly named Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion created ºÚÁÏÍø’s first Equity Action Plan. The Equity Action Plan contained goals and measurable outcomes designed to promote fairness and inclusive values for all members of the Kent State family, and more specifically, to increase opportunities for all.
