Wick Poetry Center Starts Online Weekly Writing Workshops

During this time of social distancing, the Wick Poetry Center is working hard to convert its programs, creative writing tools and interactive traveling exhibits to an accessible and engaging online platform where you can participate in creative community discussion.

The landing page on our  provides several writing prompts to add your voice to growing community poems and a gallery of other expressions. Submit your text and video poems, and other creative reflections from home.

Traveling Stanzas not only embodies 鈥淔lashes taking care of Flashes,鈥 but also 鈥淔lashes taking care of Ohioans.鈥 One of our most impactful programs is weekly online writing workshops with Wick student interns and fellows, and KSU colleagues and the community.

Dr. Jessica Jewell, our program director, kicked off with a writing prompt and created short instructional videos to share with others. Charles Malone, program and outreach manager, led the second week. His video will soon post to add to the growing collection.
