Parents And Families Appreciation Week Returns To Campus

After a year away from live events due to the pandemic, Parents and Families Appreciation Weekend resumes in-person the weekend of October 8 and 9 with plenty in store.

Assistant Dean of Students Shana Lee, who has led a committee to help prepare a fun slate of events for parents and families, said she is looking forward to being back in person for this important weekend.

“Although we hosted a successful virtual week in 2020, it is just not the same experience as being in person, which allows opportunities for parents and families to connect socially with one another, receive information about the university, and build their capacity to support their student’s success,” she said. “[Most of all], it allows them to create lasting memories with their students.”

In addition to the in-person portion, a series of virtual events will be taking place throughout the week for parents and families.
